Tweet Of The Day: Rep. Stace Nelson Makes A Friend Edition

I was under the impression that campaigns weren't supposed to communicate with political operatives who likely worked for some sort of PAC or super-PAC. Pseudonyms truly must change everything.

You realize this is Stace tweeting back and forth at himself, correct?

I'm cynical enough to want to believe that premise. It certainly would have made a better headline: US Senate Candidate Engages In Internal Dialogue Publically. The whole tweet to self meme has some humor.

@RinoMike seems to be someone other than Nelson, but I will accept that it's its favorite cousin.

If RINOMike is distinct from RepStaceNelson, would this communication count as the "coordination" that would bust the candidate? http://www.publicintegrity.org/2012/01/13/7866/rules-against-coordination-between-super-pacs-candidates-tough-enforce

I hedged my bets by using the word "likely" because I don't know who @RINOMike is or if he is indeed part of some PAC

If the rules aren't being followed, candidates should be busted.

I'd add that if Anon above is correct and these tweets reflect Nelson tweeting to Nelson, they reflect a hubris and hero complex that probably should disqualify a candidate as well
